How does this product work and benefit my security system?
A COMLOK Telephone Access Enclosure installs directly over most residential telephone service boxes. Once installed it detects tampering before access can be made to the telephone lines. If a burglar gets to your telephone lines WITHOUT our product installed, your system can be disconnected from your monitoring center before any signals can be sent.

Why is this product needed if I already have an alarm sensor on my telephone box?
Even if you have an existing alarm sensor on your telephone box, it is still possible to cut the telephone lines before any signals can be sent. Our product gives an alarm system the extra time needed to communicate to the monitoring center.

Why hasn't my security company notified me of the availability of this product?
This product is relatively new and not all security companies carry this product yet.

How do I purchase this product?
We recommend that you call your security company and request that they carry this product and install it for you, or if you're the do it yourself type you can order directly from us and install it yourself with some basic tools.

How much does something like this cost?
The suggested retail cost is comparable to you purchasing an additional keypad for your alarm system.

With this unit installed how does the Telephone Company gain access to my
telephone lines?
The Telephone Company can still access the telephone lines as long as your Alarm System is turned off, or just bypass the zone the COMLOK enclosure is installed on. The Phone Company carries the special security tool that is needed to remove the COMLOK Enclosure cover screws.

How can I be sure which model fits my home?

Can I install this my self or, is a Professional Contractor or Alarm Technician
needed?
We recommend that you call your Alarm Company to come install it for you. That way
you can be sure that it is connected to your alarm system correctly. If you're the do-it
yourself type (see our Installation Tips page), you can easily install it your self and then
call your Alarm Company to come out and connect it to your alarm system.
